The National Weather Service  issued a high-wind advisory for Central Oregon on Monday. The advisory extends from La Pine in the south to Madras in the north and is in effect until 8 p.m.

Southwest winds will be 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph, the National Weather Service reported Monday. The warning advises residents that gusty winds could blow away unsecured objects, down trees and limbs, and cause power outages.
