Kim Bernard, OSU researcher, will discuss krill and the crustacean's role in the food chain June 20 during a Science Pub event in Bend. 

Oregon State University-Cascades will host a science pub discussing the role of Antarctic krill in the Southern Ocean and the challenges of conducting research in the Antarctic from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. June 20. The event will take place in the Charles McGrath Family Atrium in Edward J. Ray Hall.

Professor Kim Bernard is an ocean ecologist, biogeochemist and professor in Oregon State University's College of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences. She studies zooplankton ecologies with a focus on Antarctic krill.
