Noemi Arellano-Summer is schools, youth and families reporter at

Journalism through Boston University. She was raised in Long Beach,

The healthy tech advocacy group Well Wired will hold a talk about the healthy use of technology from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 5 in the Highland Magnet at Kenwood School gym.
The event will include discussion of the potential harms of using addictive tech and the impact on youth mental health. Organizers will also discuss data around tech, parenting tips and healthy alternatives.
Parents, educators and child care providers are welcome, and the sign-up link can be found on the . The event is free and for adults only.
Well Wired will also speak during middle school orientations this summer to discuss delaying the use of smartphones and social media accounts among teenagers.
