Woman using phone

Attention buried in a phone

Today, when my dog was walking me on our morning ritual, I had another near head-on collision. This time not with the feared teenage e-biker but with a “zombie†cell phone walker. Not the first time, deeply transfixed with her cell phone, she approached me straight on, oblivious to my presence. I stopped and watched her approach. Not until she was three feet from me, collision eminent, did I say hello. Startled and embarrassed, she smiled and moved over. Whew! Thank God she wasn’t on her bicycle! Boy, walking these days is getting dangerous.
