The freeride mountain biking documentary “North of Nightfall†is set to premiere at Bend’s Tower Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The Red Bull Media House documentary captures freeriders Darren Berrecloth, Cam Zink, Carson Storch and Tom van Steenbergen on an expedition to the Arctic, where they descend massive, big-mountain lines, according to a news release.
Storch, of Bend, is featured throughout the film, which is set on uninhabited Axel Heiberg Island with its harsh temperatures, volatile weather and nine-month winters. But each summer, the frozen landscape flourishes under endless daylight, according to the release. The riders discover a changing environment, along with unique, challenging descents.
Tickets are $10 and are available at . Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Storch and the cast of riders from the film are also hosting a free ride-along for the public at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Wanoga Trailhead off Century Drive southwest of Bend.
