Mt. Bachelor ski area will host Women’s Progression Sessions this Saturday and Sunday.
According to a news release, the woman-centric initiative will bring together skiers and snowboarders of varying ages and abilities to work with female progression coaches to grow their skills.
Mt. Bachelor is collaborating with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team to bring in snowboard slopestyle athlete Jade Thurgood and halfpipe athlete Zoe Kalapos for this weekend. They will ride with clinic participants, take part in a freestyle jam competition and connect with the community at an athlete meet-and-greet.
Participants must be 13 or older and able to safely and confidently navigate turning and stopping on intermediate terrain. Groups will be organized based on ability.
Much of the event will be held in the Woodward Mountain Terrain Parks of Otter Rock and Cannon Beach at Bachelor.Â
Cost is $20 and participants must have a valid pass product or lift ticket to participate. All participants will receive a Woodward Swag Bag.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
